Hi, I’m Carolyn and I founded The Move Makers in 2013. I have always been passionate about creating systems to move projects forward, but this business has given me the chance to combine three things I absolutely love; building a business, helping people and, of course, organizing things.
When I started The Move Makers, my goal was to bring organization to one of the most challenging organizing projects of all – moving – and transform what many think is a difficult process into a simple, stress-free experience. Whether it’s packing, unpacking, or making difficult decisions about what to leave behind when you move, I wanted to make the process easy and even fun.
I’m pretty qualified too. I have been a professional organizer and systems developer for many years, bringing order to nonprofits, small businesses, estates and busy families. I have served as President of the National Association of Professional Organizers, Oregon Chapter and am a Member of the National Association of Senior Move Managers and the Portland Relocation Council. I recently earned the SMM-C Certificate for Senior Move Management and I am always striving to learn and improve business systems and standards.
But it’s really not just about me. I’ve employed a team of talented, hands-on, enthusiastic move makers to help me. Together, we’d love to help make your next move an easy and enjoyable experience.
