Over several of my own moves, supporting and assisting elderly parents and relatives, as well as my work as a chaplain in a healthcare setting, I heard and saw the distress associated with changing spaces. As a result, a need was pinpointed and Space Savers was created! I help people downsize, particularly people over 50. This is also true for those who are moving into a smaller home, or those who are transitioning into independent living situations, moving in with family or moving out of state. My team and I assist those who have lost a parent, to disperse, sell and relocate or recycle belongings. The CRTS™ designation also means that I also work with clients (as well as their families) who are suffering memory loss, to make safe and secure transitions. This certification is renewed through completion of CEU (Continuing Education Units) done each year. The initial certification was accomplished through education and testing. We work with realtors as well, as a team, to assist the client in preparing the home for sale. We have downsized homes from 2,700 square feet to 6,300 square feet at this reading. We make connections to auction houses, vintage, art and antique buyers, to sell unwanted items. The sole proprietor (Elissa) is in process of acquiring other certifications and memberships which will include NAPO and NASSM, which are in process.
We work in Westchester, Putnam and Fairfield Counties. The entire team (which includes several assistants, who sort and pack, as well as a team of movers,) are professional, compassionate and very efficient. Space Savers looks forward to serving you!
